Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to lead the design and modernization of our enterprise data platform. This role will architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that support operational analytics, compliance, and real-time decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-grade Snowflake architectures for analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
- Define multi-environment strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery models.
- Architect data pipelines from enterprise systems using Snowpipe, Kafka, APIs, and ETL/ELT tools.
- Optimize performance and cost through virtual warehouse design, scaling, and query tuning.
- Implement security, governance, and compliance controls (RBAC, masking, encryption).
- Enable BI and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Provide technical leadership and define data architecture roadmaps.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or cloud platforms.
- 5-6+ years of hands-on experience leading Snowflake implementations.
- Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with modern ETL/ELT and streaming architectures.
- Proven background in security, governance, and compliance.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Domain Experience: Experience in transportation, transit, logistics, aviation, rail, or mobility services.
- Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
- Snowflake certifications:
- SnowPro Core (preferred)
- SnowPro Advanced: Architect (preferred)
