Power BI Developer (Learning & Developement)

Position Overview

This role supports Foundry Learning & Development (L&D) by driving process automation, data strategy, and learning technology solutions. The IT Technologist partners with business and L&D leaders to improve operational efficiency, learning effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making through automation, dashboards, and modern learning platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Process & Workflow Automation

• Serve as Foundry L&D Automation Champion, assessing and defining automation needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate / Power Flow.
• Own and support existing workflow solutions and SharePoint Lists.
• Identify and implement continuous process improvements across learning operations.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and ensure seamless system integrations.
• Collaborate with internal automation teams on workflows and dashboards.

Data Strategy & Dashboard Development

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize learning metrics and KPIs.
• Partner with leadership to define, track, and report learning effectiveness.
• Prepare performance and impact reports for Foundry L&D initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across reporting systems.
• Provide technical guidance on data strategy and analytics best practices.

Knowledge & Learning Management

• Develop automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort.
• Consult with business partners on knowledge management repositories.
• Support development and maintenance of Foundry L&D SharePoint sites.

Project Management

• Plan and manage L&D initiatives using Smartsheet or similar tools.
• Track milestones, risks, and deliverables from initiation to completion.
• Facilitate project status meetings and stakeholder communications.
• Apply project management best practices and continuous improvement methods.

Coaching & Collaboration

• Build internal and external networks of learning and business professionals.
• Partner with global L&D leaders to support enterprise learning strategies.
• Provide coaching and upskilling to colleagues.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement learning technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Learning Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
• Hands-on expertise with:
  • Power Automate / Power Flow
  • Power BI and DAX
  • Smartsheet or other project management tools
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to scope, lead, and deliver projects.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and content delivery platforms.
• Self-starter with passion for technology, learning, automation, and analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Adult Learning, or related field.
• Human Performance Improvement (HPI) certification.
• Experience supporting global or enterprise-scale learning initiatives.
• Experience working in regulated environments.
• Exposure to AI technologies, machine learning, or large language models.
• Knowledge of:
  • Articulate 360, Camtasia, WalkMe
  • Office 365, Microsoft Copilot, Bing Enterprise Chat
  • JavaScript, JSON, MySQL
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
• Instructional design experience.
