Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior / Lead ETL Developer to design, build, and lead enterprise-scale data integration solutions. This role will drive ETL/ELT architecture, implement modern data pipelines, and ensure high data quality, scalability, and performance across complex data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with leadership skills and strong collaboration across data engineering, BI, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of ETL/ELT architecture for enterprise data platforms and Lakehouse environments
• Build and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines integrating data from multiple sources (RDBMS, SaaS, APIs, flat files, streaming platforms, and cloud services)
• Define and enforce ETL/ELT best practices, including reusability, scalability, performance tuning, security, and cost optimization
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ETL developers and data engineers
• Establish and maintain data quality, validation, governance, metadata, and lineage frameworks
• Collaborate with data architects, BI developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions
• Evaluate, select, and implement ETL/ELT tools, orchestration frameworks, and automation solutions
• Troubleshoot complex data integration, performance, and reliability issues and implement long-term fixes
• Optimize pipeline execution, storage usage, and compute costs across cloud platforms
• Support CI/CD workflows for data pipelines, including testing, versioning, and deployment automation
• Stay current with emerging data integration technologies, Lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native tools

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in ETL/ELT development and architecture
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data integration initiatives
• Strong expertise in modern data platforms such as:
• Databricks
• Snowflake
• Azure Synapse
• Advanced SQL skills and strong performance tuning experience
• Hands-on experience integrating data from:
• Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• SAP, Salesforce
• REST APIs, flat files, cloud-native systems
• Solid understanding of data modeling:
• Star schema
• Snowflake schema
• Data Vault
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing principles and analytics design
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks (ADF, Airflow, dbt, Informatica, Talend, or similar)
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with real-time or streaming data integration (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Kinesis, Event Hub)
• Familiarity with data governance and catalog tools (Collibra, Unity Catalog, Alation)
• Knowledge of big data ecosystems (Spark, Hadoop)
• Exposure to BI and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Experience implementing CI/CD for data pipelines
