Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist
Location: Saxonburg, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $49920 annually
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
CNC Lathe Machinist Objective Operate CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities - Set up and operate CNC machining equipment including horizontal and vertical machining centers
- Execute machining operations: turning, boring, drilling, tapping, thread-milling, profiling, and contouring
- Monitor and adjust cutting parameters, speeds, feeds, and tool offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
- Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to complete manufacturing tasks
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and calibration procedures
- Maintain statistical process control documentation and quality records
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions
- Handle material loading/unloading operations safely
Requirements - High school diploma plus vocational/technical training or 7+ years machining experience
- Proficiency with CNC machine tool operations and programming
- Advanced knowledge of machining processes and cutting tool applications
- Mathematical competency in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Experience with G-code and conversational programming
- Familiarity with various materials: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, plastics
- Physical capability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Journeyperson certification or NIMS credentials preferred
