Title: FullStack Engineer
Location : Rockville, MD or McLean, VA

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead by example-writing high-quality code, solving complex problems, and setting a high engineering standard for the team. This role requires both strong technical expertise and well-developed soft skills, including communication, influence, and collaboration. You will be encouraged to challenge the status quo, contribute your ideas, and continuously improve systems, processes, and team outcomes.
Responsibilities - Design and develop full-stack solutions using modern technologies and big-data platforms
- Participate in an Agile development environment to design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable applications
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to systems built on distributed microservices architectures, big-data technologies, and full-stack platforms
- Develop and deploy solutions on AWS, leveraging serverless and cloud-native services to build highly available, scalable, and cost-efficient systems
- Stay current with emerging technologies, experiment with new tools, and contribute to technical communities
- Demonstrate strong ownership, innovation, and a self-starter mindset
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI technologies to improve productivity and enhance software solutions
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, building full-stack applications using JavaScript, Java, REST/Web Services, Angular, and Spring Boot
- 5+ years of experience building solutions on AWS (e.g., ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, EMR)
- 4+ years of experience working with big-data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Presto, AWS EMR)
- 3+ years of experience writing and performance-tuning SQL queries
- 2+ years of experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python, Unix shell, Perl, or Groovy
Preferred Qualifications - Experience designing and architecting systems based on business requirements
- Experience delivering large-scale, business-critical projects with significant technical complexity
- Strong understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework concepts and design principles
