Senior Software Development LeadLocation: Hybrid in Austin, TX (3-4 days a week)
Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extension
About the Role As a Senior Software Development Lead, you will drive the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate across functions to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient applications.
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle, including QA, UAT, and production deployments.
- Promote Agile practices and manage day-to-day development activities.
- Partner with product owners, project managers, QA, and operations teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Provide development sizing, cost analysis, and technical estimates.
- Collaborate on story decomposition, feature design, and task prioritization.
- Implement automated testing frameworks and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Support Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations and secure authentication mechanisms.
- Assist in release management and process improvements.
- Identify and mitigate technology risks early in the development cycle.
- Conduct code reviews and quality improvement sessions with global teams.
- Prototype and validate application solutions for evolving business needs.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Expertise in C#, .NET technologies, and server-side application development.
- Strong experience with REST and SOAP APIs in high-transaction environments.
- Hands-on experience with Java 17 and object-oriented design principles.
- Familiarity with Agile/Lean methodologies, TDD, CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and CI/CD tools (e.g., Bamboo, Git).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting production issues using tools like Splunk.
- Solid understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, PKCE, OIDC).
- Experience with MongoDB, Aerospike, and token services.
- Strong knowledge of security standards and user authentication mechanisms.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in financial services or brokerage industry.
- Familiarity with Kerberos, certificate-based authentication, and Ping.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks for RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of source control and Agile tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Zephyr).
- Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical innovation across teams.
