Desktop Support Technician
Location: Chanhassen, MN (Fully Onsite)
Pay Range: $18-$24 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide Level 1 technical support for employees across the organization. This role is ideal for someone with a solid IT foundation who is passionate about technology, enjoys helping people, and is looking to build a long-term career in IT.
The successful candidate will support hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and network-related issues while delivering excellent customer service to end users. This position offers the opportunity to grow technical skills and take on increased responsibilities as the IT team and organization continue to expand.
This will either be a contract-to-hire or direct hire role and will be a full-time W2 position. Candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship both now and in the future and must reside in the Twin Cities, MN area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for desktop, laptop, software, Microsoft 365, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Configure, deploy, upgrade, and maintain computers, monitors, phones, printers, and other technology equipment.
- Create, modify, and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Support both onsite and remote users.
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset tracking records.
- Create and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate technical concepts to end users in a clear, professional, and non-technical manner.
- Participate in IT projects, planning meetings, and technology initiatives.
- Follow company security policies and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of desktop support, help desk, or related IT experience.
- Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and troubleshooting.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and work independently.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ Certification.
- CompTIA Network+ Certification.
- Experience supporting macOS, iOS, and Linux environments.
- Experience with computer hardware repair and maintenance.

Work Environment
This position is fully onsite in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The role operates primarily in an office environment and regularly utilizes standard office technology and equipment. Occasional local travel between company locations may be required.
