Job#: 3046149 Job Description: Business/Technology Reporting & Data Lead
Location: Dallas, Texas (Hybrid - 4 days a week onsite/1 Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Reporting Manager to join a Business Management Office ("BMO") within the Office of the CIO at a large financial services organization. This role will reinforce the existing team with both leadership and delivery of routine deliverables while also identifying efficiency gains to scale operations. The ideal candidate will be a working manager from day one, contributing to report definition and output while leading, coaching, and developing the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage business operations data, reporting, and analysis efforts for the Technology division.
- Define and create meaningful executive-level reporting for the CIO.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review and create new report requests and enhance existing ones.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and updates for senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Directly lead, coach, and mentor BMO analysts and reporting resources.
- Perform data validation and troubleshoot reporting anomalies.
- Own and support budget, staffing, workforce, operational, and spend reporting.
- Drive reporting automation initiatives to eliminate manual, spreadsheet-based processes.
- Maintain knowledge of the reporting architecture across various tools and identify scalability improvements.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a financial services organization or a technology business line supporting a financial services enterprise.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency with Tableau and Power BI is required.
- Experience with AWS Athena and SQL.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
Professional Skills:- Strong familiarity with FP&A, forecasting, and budgeting is needed.
- Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong data analysis and report creation skills to synthesize data into key messages.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive and C-suite audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop analysts as a hands-on contributor.
- Ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently while ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery.
