Title: Infrastructure Consultant / Infrastructure Program Manager
Duration: Contract (9-12 months) with potential for extension or conversion
Location: onsite (West Houston, TX)
Compensation: Up to $55/hour (W2)
Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Consultant to help evaluate, modernize, and manage a portfolio of infrastructure initiatives across a global enterprise environment. This role will begin as a contract engagement with the potential to transition into a permanent position. This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor and project leader, partnering closely with IT leadership to assess aging infrastructure, develop strategic recommendations, coordinate third-party vendors and MSPs, and drive critical infrastructure projects through completion. The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure expertise with project management and vendor management experience. While this is not primarily a hands-on engineering role, candidates should possess enough technical depth to evaluate solutions, challenge assumptions, validate vendor recommendations, and help guide architectural decisions.
We're looking for someone who can walk into a complex environment, quickly assess the current state, identify risks and opportunities, and provide practical recommendations backed by real-world experience. This person should be comfortable discussing strategy with leadership, managing vendors and MSPs, and ensuring projects are executed successfully without requiring constant oversight.
The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader capable of bridging the gap between infrastructure architecture, vendor management, and project delivery.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status. We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act, City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance.
