Position Summary & Responsibilities

Role Summary: The Infrastructure Program Manager leads cross-functional infrastructure initiatives from intake through delivery, ensuring programs are planned, governed, tracked, and communicated effectively across technical teams and stakeholders. This role requires strong program management discipline, working knowledge of infrastructure environments, proficiency with traditional and agile delivery frameworks, and the ability to use Jira, project management software, AI, and automation to improve PMO execution and reporting.

Core Responsibilities

·         Lead infrastructure programs and initiatives across planning, execution, risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communications.

·         Translate infrastructure needs into actionable program plans, milestones, Jira workstreams, delivery roadmaps, and executive-ready status updates.

·         Coordinate across infrastructure engineering, operations, cloud, network, security, application, vendor, and business teams to drive alignment and timely delivery.

·         Apply traditional, agile, and hybrid delivery practices based on program complexity, team maturity, and operating model needs.

·         Maintain governance artifacts including charters, RAID logs, decision logs, dependency trackers, financial/resource updates, and program dashboards.

·         Use AI and automation to streamline PMO activities such as meeting summaries, status reporting, action-item tracking, risk identification, backlog hygiene, and portfolio insights.

·         Identify delivery risks, resource constraints, timeline impacts, and escalation needs early, with clear recommendations and action plans.

·         Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, reporting cadences, and operational program management standards.

Required Qualifications

·         PMP certification is required.

·         8+ years of program management experience, preferably supporting infrastructure, hosting, cloud, data center, network, workplace technology, or IT operations programs.

·         Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, and senior stakeholder visibility.

·         Working knowledge of traditional waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery frameworks, including how to tailor practices for infrastructure delivery.

·         Proficiency with Jira and other project or portfolio management software for backlog tracking, roadmap planning, milestone management, reporting, and team coordination.

·         Strong communication skills with the ability to convert technical details into concise business updates, decisions, and executive summaries.

·         Experience using AI-enabled tools or automation to improve PMO productivity, reporting quality, meeting effectiveness, and operational follow-through.

Preferred Skills

·         Familiarity with infrastructure terminology, server environments, cloud platforms, change management, service management, and operational readiness practices.

·         Experience building repeatable PMO templates, dashboards, governance routines, and portfolio management processes.

·         Ability to facilitate working sessions, backlog reviews, dependency discussions, steering updates, and post-implementation lessons learned.

·         Comfort partnering with technical teams while maintaining sufficient business-level communication for leadership audiences.

Success Profile

·         Brings structured program leadership to infrastructure work without overburdening technical teams with unnecessary process.

·         Creates transparency through clear plans, accurate status reporting, practical risk management, and timely escalation.

·         Uses modern PMO practices, including AI and automation, to improve speed, consistency, and decision quality.
