Description: Position SummaryThe Consumer Protection Services Division is seeking development support for a new Inspections application. The application will enable field inspectors to:
- Collect agricultural inspection data through online forms
- Save collected data into a SQL database
- Generate and store PDF documents
The existing inspections system is scheduled for decommissioning in Spring 2027, and the replacement system is being developed internally. The role requires a developer with beginner to intermediate experience, particularly in JavaScript and SQL.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities- Convert approximately 70 existing fillable PDF inspection documents into interactive HTML forms
- Build JavaScript functionality to capture and save inspector inputs into a SQL database
- Use Jinja templates to compile collected data into PDF documents
- Support data collection workflows for field inspectors
Secondary Responsibilities- Provide JavaScript development support as needed
- Assist with ongoing development efforts to help keep the project on schedule
