We are seeking a Business System Analyst/Product Owner for a large wealth management client in the corporate finance product domain with a primary focus on Oracle Incentive Compensation Management (ICM). The role partners with Product Management, business stakeholders, technology teams, and firm leadership to translate business objectives into scalable system capabilities and measurable outcomes.
This role combines product ownership, business analysis, and functional systems expertise. The successful candidate will shape and maintain the product roadmap, manage prioritization, define requirements, guide Oracle ICM configuration and enhancements, and support delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
The role requires the ability to operate strategically and tactically, balancing long-term product direction with detailed analysis of business processes, data, integrations, compensation rules, system dependencies, and end-user needs.
Must-Have Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science, or a related field.
•Proven experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Manager within financial services, client onboarding, incentive compensation, customer relationship management, or related business systems.
•Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Incentive Compensation Management, including relevant experience with compensation plans, rules, crediting, classifications, hierarchies, quotas, payments, statements, or related capabilities.
•Experience translating business objectives and operational processes into product requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
•Broad and deep knowledge of financial services concepts, practices, and procedures, particularly in incentive compensation, client onboarding, relationship management, or customer-facing operating models.
•Experience supporting Oracle ICM configuration, enhancements, integrations, testing, releases, production support, or issue resolution.
•Strong understanding of data flows, system dependencies, interfaces, and downstream impacts associated with Oracle ICM and related enterprise platforms.
•Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.
•Demonstrated analytical ability, structured problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
•Proven ability to lead through influence within matrixed teams, including coordinating work, assigning tasks, coaching colleagues, and mentoring team members.
•Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build alignment across business, product, technology, operations, and control functions.
•Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving environments and convert complex business needs into clear delivery priorities.
•Prior experience with Agile methodologies and a robust understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
•Experience managing competing priorities across enhancements, defects, operational support, compliance needs, and strategic initiatives.
Good-to-Have Qualifications:
•Advanced understanding of Product Management, Business Analysis, Design Thinking, and Agile delivery principles.
•Oracle ICM implementation, upgrade, optimization, or transformation experience.
•Experience defining or improving incentive compensation processes, including plan design, transaction processing, crediting, calculation logic, approvals, and reporting.
•Experience with Oracle ICM integrations, data validation, reconciliation, reporting, or related enterprise applications.
•Experience in digital product ownership or enterprise systems delivery within high-performing, continuously improving teams.
•History of working on multidisciplinary and cross-divisional product or systems teams.
•Experience guiding resource planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder solution requirements.
•Demonstrated ability to advise and align with adjacent product, architecture, data, and technology teams to ensure consistent delivery across products and platforms.
•Background in building business cases, defining success measures, and evaluating delivery against expected business outcomes.
•Experience developing process maps, data flow diagrams, system impact assessments, test strategies, and operational readiness materials.
•Familiarity with reporting, analytics, controls, audit support, or governance requirements related to incentive compensation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
•Align product strategy, system capabilities, and execution priorities with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
•Maintain the product roadmap, backlog, release plan, and delivery priorities for Oracle ICM and related capabilities.
•Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, Product Management, technology teams, implementation partners, and operational users.
•Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, process needs, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution options.
•Translate complex compensation and operational processes into scalable Oracle ICM capabilities and actionable delivery requirements.
•Evaluate enhancement requests, defects, regulatory or policy changes, process improvements, and technical dependencies to determine priority and sequencing.
•Guide Oracle ICM configuration, functional design, integration requirements, data validation, testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization.
•Partner with technical teams to assess impacts across applications, interfaces, data structures, reporting, and downstream processes.
•Manage system plans and delivery artifacts, ensuring progress against resource, stakeholder, timeline, milestone, quality, and dependency requirements.
•Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, retrospectives, requirements workshops, and stakeholder decision forums.
•Define and validate success criteria, acceptance measures, operational readiness requirements, and post-release outcomes.
•Coordinate user acceptance testing, including test scenario development, defect triage, business validation, and release signoff coordination.
•Investigate complex system or process issues, identify root causes, and coordinate sustainable remediation across business and technology teams.
•Lead, coach, and develop a matrixed team through influence, clear expectations, effective delegation, and knowledge sharing.
•Maintain appropriate product, process, system, and decision documentation to support transparency, continuity, and operational effectiveness.
•Advise and collaborate with adjacent product and systems teams to maintain a unified product strategy and cohesive end-to-end delivery.
•Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve data quality, enhance user experience, reduce manual effort, and increase the value delivered through Oracle ICM.
•Monitor delivery performance and business outcomes, using stakeholder feedback, operational metrics, and defined success criteria to inform future priorities.
