About the Role
We're seeking Software QA Associates to support a major streaming media platform ahead of a new app launch. This role ensures subscribers have a seamless experience across web, mobile, and Smart TV platforms. You'll test software updates before and after release, including test setup/tear-down, preparing testing hardware, identifying new test cases and processes, and updating documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test procedures and test cases for new and existing products
- Perform manual regression testing to confirm features/changes work as intended
- Prepare testing hardware (Smart TVs) with the latest release builds
- Assist the QA Lead on projects as requested
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
- Review product requirements and specs for system-level testing
- Report status, concerns, and risks to the QA Lead
- Provide daily (Scrum) and weekly (team huddle) status updates
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Associate/Bachelor's in CS or related field preferred)
- Proven experience with a content streaming service in support, testing, or product role
- 2 years of manual testing experience with regressions, systems, and integrations (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, able to work independently with little supervision
- Comfortable collaborating with a large, cross-functional team
- Comfortable on Mac or Windows computing environments
- Local to the Phoenix/Tempe/Scottsdale, AZ area
- Professional, punctual, patient through a learning curve, and eager to learn
Nice to Have
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Working knowledge of command line interfaces, databases, and cloud systems (AWS)
- Experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
- Streaming media, mobile app, or web testing experience
- Hands-on manual testing (automation not required)
