Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support a financial services client based in Seattle, WA. This individual will serve as a hands-on technical contributor, building and maintaining automated test frameworks for an ever-growing department. Apply today!

Location: 100% Remote
Job Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain automated test strategies, scripts, test cases, and frameworks.
- Build automated testing solutions for functional, regression, API, UI, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and document testing and debugging tools to support engineering and development teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation processes and increase overall test automation coverage.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and document findings.
- Track, troubleshoot, and help resolve defects while partnering with developers to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including refinement, estimation, and feature delivery.
- Support and provide guidance to other Test Engineers and Software Engineers on automation practices and tooling.
- Potentially own components of the automation framework, CI/CD testing stages, or test strategy for a specific application or service.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, technical SMEs, business partners, and IT leadership.
Requirements - 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation.
- Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and creating automated test cases.
- Strong experience with a major automation testing tool, preferably Cypress.
- Experience testing across multiple automation categories, including unit, API, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and performance testing.
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language, preferably C#, with Java experience also considered.
- Experience testing AWS-based applications, including AWS Lambda functions.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience using test case management platforms, such as SpiraTest.
- Strong design, problem-solving, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience working collaboratively within Agile teams to deliver enterprise-level software products.
- Ability to work independently while also partnering effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
