Summary

Xpedient is a full-service third-party logistics (3PL) provider with experience supporting a diverse client base through warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment, and labor solutions.

Shift: Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Operational Hours: Begin at 7:00 a.m.

Summary

The experienced Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction to a diverse warehouse workforce responsible for fulfilling orders for multiple clients. The operation supports a large client with varying levels of inbound and outbound activity based on volume fluctuations, requiring a strong understanding of labor management, forecasting, and operational planning.

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to support employees, operational leadership, and day-to-day site communications.

The primary objective of this role is to optimize costs, maximize service levels, develop a high-performing team, and achieve operational excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership to warehouse staff while fostering a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and operational teams in both English and Spanish.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel, ensuring the team is motivated and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Conduct and oversee cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Manage labor requirements based on operational volume, productivity expectations, and customer needs.
  • Monitor key operational metrics, including labor, quality, productivity, efficiency, and service levels.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies and annual plans, including budgets, SOPs, customer plans, and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and serve as a key operational point of contact.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety programs, and other applicable policies and procedures.
  • Utilize warehouse and supply chain technology, including WMS platforms; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
Preferred Qualifications
    Bilingual in English and Spanish required, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and business partners in both languages.
  • 4+ years of operations management experience in warehousing and distribution.
  • Proven operations leadership experience in a fast-paced e-commerce, fulfillment, manufacturing, production, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Tire manufacturing, food service, or retail distribution experience; tire warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Strong experience with SAP and warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to produce, interpret, and draw conclusions from operational data.
  • Sound business judgment with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence others and drive accountability across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in startup operations and/or 3PL environments preferred.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to facilitate projects, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

Safety

  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, organized, and orderly condition.
  • Promote employee accountability and active participation in the site\'s safety culture.
