Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled JDE Orchestrator Architect to design, build, and govern automation and integration solutions using the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator Framework. This is a specialist, hands-on architecture role focused on end-to-end orchestration design from REST/SOAP-based integrations and business event flows to cross-system process automation.
The ideal candidate combines deep JDE technical expertise with strong integration architecture instincts, enabling them to deliver scalable, maintainable orchestration solutions that reduce manual effort and accelerate ERP-driven business processes.
Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design JDE Orchestrator solutions using the Orchestration Studio and AIS Server.
• Design complex, multi-step orchestrations spanning multiple JDE business functions and modules.
• Define reusable orchestration patterns, templates, and design standards for the organisation.
• Build and maintain a library of approved orchestrations, cross-references, and data request definitions.
• Lead technical design reviews for all orchestration deliverables, ensuring quality and scalability.

Integration & API Development

• Integrate JDE with third-party systems (Salesforce, WMS, BI tools, SaaS platforms) via AIS REST APIs.
• Design and govern inbound/outbound REST and SOAP web service flows.
• Build orchestrations that consume external APIs, handle authentication (OAuth, JWT, API Keys), and manage error responses.
• Work with middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Oracle Integration Cloud, Boomi) where applicable.
• Define API contract standards, versioning strategy, and orchestration documentation.

Automation & Process Improvement

• Identify automation opportunities across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and HR modules.
• Deliver straight-through processing solutions that eliminate manual intervention in JDE workflows.
• Design event-driven orchestrations triggered by JDE business events and scheduler-based automation.
• Quantify and report automation ROI and business value delivered through orchestration initiatives.

Governance & Standards

• Establish and enforce Orchestrator design standards, naming conventions, and version control practices.
• Define and own the Orchestrator governance framework including change management and testing processes.
• Conduct code and design reviews to maintain quality across the orchestration estate.
• Maintain architecture decision records (ADRs) and up-to-date technical documentation.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with JDE functional consultants, business analysts, and process owners to translate requirements.
• Engage with third-party vendors and system integrators to align on integration architecture.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to JDE developers working on orchestration tasks.
• Present architecture proposals and technical options clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years hands-on experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (Tools 9.2+).
• 3+ years dedicated experience designing and building JDE Orchestrator solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of Orchestration Studio, AIS Server, and JDE REST APIs.
• Strong experience with data requests, cross-references, service requests, and connectors.
• Solid understanding of JDE BSFNs, NERs, and UBE interactions within orchestrations.
• Experience integrating JDE with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Proficiency in JSON, XML, and API payload design.
• Familiarity with authentication protocols: OAuth 2.0, JWT, Basic Auth, API Keys.

Strong Advantage

• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), MuleSoft, or Dell Boomi alongside JDE Orchestrator.
• Knowledge of JDE CafeOne and UX personalisation using Orchestrator outputs.
• Hands-on experience with JDE Business Event System and Kafka/event-streaming integration.
• Exposure to JDE containerised or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) deployments.
• Experience with Postman, Swagger, or API testing frameworks.
• Scripting or development experience (Python, JavaScript, SQL) for pre/post-processing logic.
• JDE Orchestrator or Oracle-recognised certification.
