- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a technical or trade school program in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
- Experience in a school district, educational facility, or institutional environment preferred.
- Valid HVAC Technician license or certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- EPA Section 608 Certification required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical HVAC issues.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Virginia driver's license required.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Availability for on-call rotations, emergency response, and occasional weekend work.
