Middleware Automation Engineer

Role : Middleware Automation Engineer - (Engineering, NOT Ops)

Location : Charlotte, NC / Plano, TX / Pennington, NJ - Hybrid

Experience : Min. 9+ years



This role builds an enterprise automation platform that identifies, prioritizes, tests, and supports remediation of vulnerabilities across Java middleware environments on RHEL Linux. It's engineering/development not administration or operations support.

MUST-HAVE HARD SKILL : -

• Java middleware platforms: Tomcat, JBoss EAP, WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache HTTP Server
• Ansible and Python scripting
• RHEL Linux (hands-on, including building/packaging software)
• Automated testing frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin experience a plus)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, GenAI tools, or AI coding assistants (this is a differentiator client specifically wants engineers using AI-assisted development)

WHAT THEY'LL BE DOING :-

• Building automation to identify vulnerabilities and map them to remediation actions
• Prioritizing issues using severity, exploitability, and dependency context
• Defining and automating regression/certification testing scope
• Running, tracking, and improving automated test execution across middleware stacks
• Producing release notes, certification artifacts, and testing evidence
• Designing intelligent/agent-based workflows connecting vulnerability analysis, remediation, testing, and release readiness

NICE-TO-HAVE :-

• Background in vulnerability management platforms or security scanning tools
• Familiarity with CVEs, vendor advisories, enterprise remediation workflows
• CI/CD and release automation integration experience
• Cloud/hybrid infrastructure exposure
• Infrastructure-as-code / configuration management tools
• Enterprise artifact/release/certification management experience
