Demand Planning & Data Analyst - Winter Haven, FL
Reports to: E2E Supply Chain Manager
FLSA Classification: Exempt

Summary/Objective
This role is responsible for analyzing historical and forecasted demand for all commercial items and to communicate daily with operations to plan production and inventory strategies across various production areas in order to meet customer demand. This position will also coordinate with procurement to ensure sufficient raw materials are available to support operations manufacturing schedule and to meet customer demand in time and in full.

Essential Functions
  • Utilize data analytics to ensure that the organization has sufficient raw materials, intermediates and finished inventory to meet customer demand by utilizing and enhancing the organizations reports for customer contracts, demand forecasts, historical sales, internal intermediates consumption, and inventory reports.
  • Work closely with procurement to provide product data for future and current raw material needs.
  • Develop an understanding of raw materials utilized in production.
  • Evaluate current inventory to assist with product development, production scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Define appropriate inventory levels, product lead times and stocking strategies.
  • Create a strategy for production based on customer needs and defined timelines.
    • Analyze historical data and market trends to anticipate future production needs.
    • Align with production to determine equipment needs to fulfill production plan.
    • Monitor production capacity and adjust plans to avoid bottlenecks or downtime.
    • Communicate delays and related impacts as well as identify / align corrective actions.
  • Communicate fluctuations in demand to relevant areas and help to ensure the availability of goods and to help manage inventory levels.
  • Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and help facilitate implementation of best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of unique supply chain systems and processes.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with Quality Control, Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory Control, Flavor & Fragrance Formulations, Sales, Customer Service and Logistics.
  • Assist when needed on work order issuance, sample request and F&F lab support.
  • Prepare daily reports regarding status of outstanding production orders as well as other reports requested by manager.
  • Follow all Lab and Site safety and GMP rules. Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner and complete all paperwork correctly.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment
  • This position operates in a laboratory environment.
Physical Demands
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, sitting, and manual dexterity are also required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
Travel
  • This position requires less than 10% travel.
Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years demand planning experience, ideally in the citrus industry.
  • Experience with production planning software (SAP PP-PI or other systems)
  • Experience with JD Edwards system
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power BI, Salesforce, Power Point and Outlook
  • Proven track record in problem solving and creative thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment, flexible with moving targets and deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to interact with a variety of departments.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
