Job Schedule: 1st Shift 4/10: Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week (position will work 2nd shift from August 1 - December 31, 2026)

Job Description:

Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

The position supports all Orange programs development and production.

Position is working with mixing chemicals and energetics up to a large scale. Position will require working with chemicals and hand tools.

Essential Functions:

• Under close/moderate supervision the candidate will perform tasks that are required to support development and production test schedules. This includes performing routine tests, mix/cast chemicals and energetics, collect data, and operate equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in following detailed work standards and following safety protocols. Demonstrates proficiency in acquiring skills and performing work with specialization as required.
• Works to achieve operational targets and test schedules.
• Must be able to obtain a US security clearance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0-3 years prior related experience
• Valid Driver's license

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
• Ability to follow safety practices and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work.
• Proficient computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Excel.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $18.27/hr - $33.65/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
