Browserstack Performance Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability testing for web and mobile applications.

• Utilize BrowserStack (Automate, Live, App Automate) for cross-browser and cross-device testing.

• Develop and maintain automated performance test scripts using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.

• Analyze performance bottlenecks and identify root causes related to application, network, or infrastructure layers.

• Monitor key performance metrics such as response time, throughput, latency, and error rates.

• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to resolve performance issues.

• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Generate detailed performance test reports with actionable insights and recommendations.

• Conduct performance benchmarking and capacity planning exercises.

• Ensure applications meet SLA, scalability, and reliability requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Performance Testing.

• Hands-on experience with BrowserStack for cross-browser and cross-platform testing.

• Strong expertise in performance testing tools such as:

  • Apache JMeter

  • LoadRunner

  • Gatling

  • BlazeMeter (nice to have)

• Experience in analyzing application logs and performance monitoring tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana).

• Understanding of web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, WebSockets).

• Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform).

• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.

• Strong scripting skills (Java, JavaScript, Python, or Groovy preferred).

• Good understanding of performance engineering concepts.

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile application performance testing.

• Experience with Selenium + BrowserStack integration.

• Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
