The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in structured environments with formal documentation, change management, and release governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects within SQL Server environments.
  • Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to the design of scalable, modular, and reusable components.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards, security best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and translate them into technical design documents.
  • Support application testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and deployment validation.
  • Document technical specifications, application workflows, and system configurations for long-term maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with state security policies, audit requirements, and data protection standards.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings within Agile frameworks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET Framework.
  • Demonstrated experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries, optimizing stored procedures, and tuning database performance in SQL Server.
  • Experience implementing secure authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, or Azure AD integration.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and deploying applications within IIS and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience working within Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall project environments.
  • Proven ability to produce technical documentation including design documents and system diagrams.
  • Experience using Git for source control and Azure DevOps for release management.
  • Ability to independently analyze requirements and deliver complete, tested solutions within deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing microservices-based architectures and containerized applications.
  • Prior experience supporting State Government or Public Sector projects.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform integrations and SharePoint-based workflows.
  • Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and telemetry solutions for enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of OWASP security principles and secure coding standards.
  • Experience supporting large-scale modernization or legacy system migration projects.

  • Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and propose measurable improvements to system efficiency.
  • Manage multiple work assignments while meeting established deadlines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams including architects, analysts, and QA testers.
  • Exhibit accountability by taking ownership of assigned modules from development through production deployment.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving project priorities and regulatory changes within government environments.
  • Maintain professionalism in client-facing meetings and status reporting sessions.
