Job Title: Director of FP&A Data Strategy & Governance
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic, finance-fluent Director of FP&A Data Strategy & Governance to lead our data strategy roadmap and champion our ongoing finance transformation journey. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for defining and delivering trusted, AI-ready finance data products that power enterprise planning, forecasting, reporting, and executive decision-making.
This is a unique leadership position that bridges the gap between finance business needs and technical data engineering. You will partner closely with FP&A, controllership, technology, and data governance teams to establish governed data models, standardize financial hierarchies, and modernize our analytics ecosystem. If you possess a deep background in corporate finance coupled with a strong technical understanding of modern data platforms, we want to hear from you.

Product Management: Apply a product mindset to define roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, manage use cases, and measure adoption and business impact through clear KPIs.
Non-SAP / Enterprise Data Leadership: Establish consistent, governed finance data products to ensure non-SAP and core data sources are seamlessly integrated into the broader analytics ecosystem.
Architecture, Governance & Data Quality
Data Modeling & Semantic Layers: Design and govern reusable finance data products, models, and semantic layers that standardize key metrics, reporting hierarchies, and business logic across planning tools and dashboards.
Governance & Controls: Establish and enforce rigorous data quality, validation rules, reconciliation routines, metadata management, lineage, and access controls.
Cross-Functional Translation: Translate complex business requirements from Finance into scalable technical specifications for data engineering, architecture, and analytics teams.
Process Improvement & Partnership
Standardization: Champion simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement across finance data and reporting processes.
Stakeholder Alignment: Influence and collaborate effectively across a matrixed organization, bridging the gap between business stakeholders (Finance, Treasury, Accounting) and technical teams (Technology, Data Governance).
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience, combining a strong foundation in corporate finance (FP&A, planning, reporting) with data systems management.
Technical & Functional Mastery:
oDeep understanding of core finance processes, management reporting, planning lifecycles, and financial hierarchies.
oProven experience with finance data transformation within large, complex, multi-business-unit organizations.
oFamiliarity with modern data platforms, data catalogs, semantic layers, and enterprise planning/BI platforms (e.g., EPM tools, modern data lakes, or cloud analytics stacks).
Core Competencies: Exceptional communication and executive presence; proven ability to bridge business acumen with technical execution; skilled at leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in fast-paced sectors such as technology, consumer products, media, or multi-business enterprise environments.
Hands-on background implementing agile execution methodologies for data product delivery.
A strong passion for emerging capabilities in finance transformation and AI-driven data readiness.
