Position Summary: The Senior Microsoft 365 Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting
business solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint Online, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power
Automate, Power BI), and CoPilot 365. This role works closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams to
deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly applications that improve business processes and collaboration. The Senior
Developer also mentors junior staff, promotes best practices, and ensures alignment with enterprise standards and
governance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
_Lead the design and development of solutions using Power Platform and SharePoint Online
_Lead efforts to modernize legacy SharePoint environments, including planning and executing site migrations,
redesigning site architecture, and ensuring alignment with enterprise governance and user experience standards.
_Develop and integrate CoPilot 365 experiences to enhance productivity and automate business workflows
_Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into technical solutions
_Serve as a technical mentor to junior developers and analysts, providing guidance, code reviews, and knowledge
sharing
_Ensure solutions follow Microsoft 365 governance, security, and compliance standards
_Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, user guides, and SOPs
_Support lifecycle management of applications and sites, including versioning, testing, deployment, and maintenance
_Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 applications and services
_Ensure local solutions comply with enterprise governance, security, and compliance standards, and coordinate with
Central Office to align with statewide Microsoft 365 architecture and policies.
_Track work using ServiceNow or other ITSM tools and contribute to knowledge base articles
_Provide training and support to end users and business units on developed solutions
_Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and recommend new tools or features
_Responsible for reading and following the Department s Procedures and Policies
_Responsible for understanding and enforcing the Department s Policies and Procedures
_Participate in team meetings, projects, and assignments to support Microsoft 365 initiatives.
_Perform other related duties, as assigned.
_Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
_Report to work in the office 5 days a week
Ideal Candidate Profile:
_Expert-level knowledge of SharePoint Online development and administration
_Experience leading SharePoint Online migration and modernization projects, including site structure redesign and
content transformation
_Strong experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
_Familiarity with CoPilot 365 and AI-driven productivity tools
_Proficiency in PowerShell, JSON, REST APIs, and Microsoft Graph
_Understanding of business process automation, data modeling, and UI/UX design
_Experience mentoring or leading junior developers or analysts
_Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
_Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
_Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
_Customer-focused with a collaborative mindset
Education:
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields or equivalent work experience.
Experience: At least 5 years of Microsoft 365 development, including solution design, implementation, and support.
Prior experience mentoring or leading technical staff is highly desirable
Preferred Certifications:
_Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
_Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer Associate
Note:
As a member of the technology team, they need the ability to be contacted to respond to requests /incidents. The
vendor is required to provide the contractor with a smartphone with data service that complies with FDOT agency
security requirements. Smartphones must be able to receive security updates from the manufacturer or carrier and
maintained throughout the contractor's tenure at the agency. The contractor will utilize mobile applications such
as Outlook, Teams & ServiceNow, which should also be kept up to date through the platform application store.
