Summary

A SharePoint Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint sites, solutions, and applications to support business processes. This role focuses on creating custom workflows, web parts, and integrations while ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience across SharePoint environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement SharePoint sites, applications, and custom solutions.
  • Create custom web parts, workflows, forms, and dashboards using SharePoint Designer, SPFx, and Power Platform tools.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver SharePoint solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Maintain and enhance existing SharePoint solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 tools, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other enterprise systems.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues in SharePoint environments.
  • Implement security, permissions, and governance best practices within SharePoint sites.
  • Document solutions, workflows, and customizations for knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Stay updated on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 platform features, updates, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to end-users, including training and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Participate in agile development processes, sprint planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to SharePoint development standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in SharePoint development, administration, or implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-Premises, and Microsoft 365 integration.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Designer, SPFx, PowerShell, and .NET development.
  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and REST APIs.

Preferred Skills / Duties

  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Graph API.
  • Knowledge of workflow automation, business process management, and document management best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SharePoint solutions.


Experience in migration projects from SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online
