Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL/CICS, DB2, JCL, and MQ, along with domain experience in Automotive Finance. The role involves application development, production support, and performance optimization across multiple enterprise-level systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide application development and production support for large-scale mainframe applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including batch and online abends
- Analyze and optimize daily/monthly batch processes to improve efficiency and reduce processing windows
- Perform impact analysis across multiple systems and platforms
- Deliver technical design, development, and estimation documentation
- Participate in on-call support for batch processes during off-hours
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- COBOL
- CICS
- DB2
- JCL
- IBM MQ
- Experience in mainframe development + production support environment
- Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills for batch and online systems
- Familiarity with unit testing practices
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Automotive Finance industry
- Exposure to FIS Systematics (A plus but not Mandatory)
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Interpersonal style aligned with client culture
