Summary

IDR is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise Oracle database environments, primarily focusing on Oracle Database 11g. It offers the chance to work within a mission-critical environment, ensuring high availability and performance of databases while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Position Overview for the Oracle Database Administrator:

Manage and maintain Oracle Database 11g environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
Perform performance tuning, backup and recovery, and ensure high availability solutions are implemented effectively.
Collaborate with application developers, system administrators, and infrastructure teams to support database operations.
Support database migration, patching, and ongoing performance optimization initiatives.
Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and conduct troubleshooting to resolve production incidents.

Requirements for the Oracle Database Administrator:

Strong experience administering Oracle Database 11g.
Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) administration.
Linux/UNIX administration and shell scripting skills.
Completed Bachelor's Degree
