Description

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician in Middletown, RI.

Job Duties:

Assist in assembling, wiring, installing, and modifying electronic components, cables and harnesses, printed circuit boards (PCBs), or test fixtures.
Run routine tests and check circuit continuity, voltage, or current using standard tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Replace defective parts, repair basic assemblies, and maintain equipment under close supervision.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
Record test results, log configuration data, and report discrepancies in blueprints or schematics to engineers.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some technical/vocational training preferred
Must have the ability to obtain an Interim SECRET clearance.
Ability to read basic schematics and wiring diagrams; fundamental knowledge of electronic circuits and hand tools.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new tools/software.
Good attention to detail and documentation habits.
