Summary

This position is essential for supporting DIVER, BDSQL, METASTOR & FASTOLA. Under minimal supervision, the Senior Software Engineer assists in developing software products and works on improving the overall quality of the product throughout the software development life cycle.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Design, develop, and maintain DIVER, BDSQL, METASTOR & FASTOLA
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical strategy
  • Support production systems and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Works on broad problems of scope that require decision making and creativity
  • Receives general guidance but work is done independently and impacts team level goals
  • Defines technical solutions or operational processes to improve efficiency
  • Possesses a solid understanding and familiarity of systems and processes within job area
  • Delivers many of the team's goals on time and with a high standard of quality.
  • Preemptively identifies and resolves technical risks before they jeopardize the project. Resolves cross-team dependencies earlier to ensure the successful execution of the project.
  • Demonstrated understanding in computer science fundamentals - Algorithm design, Problem solving, Complexity analysis and data structures.
  • Strong experience with Bigdata

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline with at least 5 years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience.

  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization

Working Conditions:
  • Hybrid work environment, with defined in-person presence requirements.

FINRA complies with all state and local pay transparency laws and regulations requiring the disclosure of salary ranges for the position. In addition to location, actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's skill set, level of experience, education, and market considerations.

CO/FL/TX: Minimum Salary $97,700, Maximum Salary $176,100

IL/PA: Minimum Salary $107,500, Maximum Salary $194,100

MA/MD/VA/Washington, DC: Minimum Salary $112,300 Maximum Salary $202,500

NY/NJ: Minimum Salary $112,300, Maximum Salary $211,400

Time Off and Paid Leave*
