Summary
CBTS is seeking an experienced Senior Linux/OpenShift Platform Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will deploy, configure, and support enterprise container platforms while driving automation and operational excellence across our environment.
Required Skills
- OpenShift — hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and supporting OpenShift in production environments
- Linux — demonstrated Linux system administration skills
- Python — automation scripting and tooling (alongside BASH and Ansible)
- Communication — strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''''s degree or 4+ years of equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience through work, military service, or specialized training
- Automation experience with BASH, Ansible, and/or Python
- Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Kubernetes or OpenShift distributions
- Working knowledge of the Kubernetes API Server
- Knowledge of NFS and networking fundamentals
- Working knowledge of Git, GitLab, GitHub, and CI/CD workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SDN concepts and protocols
- Virtualization and/or Linux certifications
- Experience with OVN-Kubernetes
- Experience with Multus CNI
- Experience with service mesh for Layer 7 networking management
- Experience with Service Proxy for Kubernetes
- Experience with NetApp Storage Solutions
- Experience with object storage (Swiftstack/MinIO)
- Working knowledge of OpenStack
