Job Description:

QA automation engineer design automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. This includes determining the priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios. Designing documentation for automated processes.

This QA Engineer Automated 3 contractor position performs Quality Assurance activities for an application for the (PCS) Contract Operations team. This application is part of an initiative to enhance and update the System Contract Operating and Reporting application to create a more robust and comprehensive system for agency contract management, monitoring, and compliance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test cases using Playwright or similar automation tools.
• Create and maintain test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
• Perform manual testing activities as required.
• Track and monitor test case execution and results.
• Establish automated test schedules and generates required test reporting.
• Use Jira to log, manage, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTM).
• Collaborate within an Agile development environment to support testing and delivery activities.
• Support development teams across development, testing, UAT, and production environments, including troubleshooting test cases.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities when required.
• Provide on-call support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of required experience in manual test script execution.
• Minimum 8 years of required experience in automated QA testing.
• Minimum 8 years of required experience developing and creating QA test scripts.
• Minimum 8 years of required experience performing performance testing.
• Preferred 5 years of experience in automated QA test case reporting and analysis.
• Preferred 5 years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, Playwright, WebdriverIO, and JMeter.
• Preferred 3 years of experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies using tools such as Jira, XRay, or Zephyr.
• Preferred 3 years of experience conducting accessibility testing.
