Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Wintel Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Windows-based enterprise environments, storage management, clustering, diagnostics, and virtualization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of mission-critical Windows systems while leveraging automation and scripting to streamline operations

Key Responsibilities

• Storage Management
  • Administer and manage enterprise storage solutions including EMC Symmetrix, Unity, and PowerFlex.
  • Configure and maintain network file shares for enterprise workloads.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of storage systems.
• Clustering & High Availability
  • Configure and support Windows Clustering for mission-critical applications.
  • Implement and maintain DFS Clustering for distributed file systems.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize cluster performance and failover mechanisms.
• Web & Application Services
  • Manage and maintain IIS web servers.
  • Perform IIS app pool restarts and monitor application availability.
  • Work closely with application teams to ensure seamless web service delivery.
• Operating System Diagnostics
  • Monitor and analyze system health using Event Viewer and Performance Monitor.
  • Troubleshoot OS-level issues and provide proactive solutions.
  • Document and escalate issues as needed to ensure system reliability.
• Automation & Scripting
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Batch, and Python.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Virtualization
  • Navigate and manage environments in VMware vSphere.
  • Troubleshoot virtual machines across Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize virtual environments.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Windows system administration.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise storage solutions and file share management.
• Expertise in Windows clustering technologies and DFS clustering.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools (Event Viewer, Performance Monitor).
• Solid scripting skills in PowerShell, Batch, and Python.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and troubleshooting virtual machines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to enterprise-scale Wintel environments.
• Experience in hybrid infrastructure setups (on-prem + virtualized).
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting at Layer 2/3.
