Project Manager

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead a high-visibility initiative at a large agency in Columbia, SC.  This role is eligible for hybrid status after a training period. 

What You’ll Do

• Lead and deliver complex, high-impact application migration and modernization projects using hybrid Agile methods

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies across multiple stakeholders

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

• Partner with business leaders, product owners, vendors, and technical teams to align delivery with agency goals

• Provide executive-level status updates, dashboards, and presentations

• Ensure compliance with state procurement, fiscal policies, and regulatory requirements

• Manage vendors and support contract negotiations

• Mentor junior project managers and contribute to enterprise delivery excellence

What You’ll Need

• Experience managing large-scale, complex projects

• Proven experience leading Agile or hybrid Agile project lifecycles

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills

• Proficiency with Agile project tools (Microsoft Planner Premium, JIRA, or similar)

• PMP certification required

Nice to Have

• Agile certifications (PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, DASM)

• Experience leading application migration projects

• Government or South Carolina state agency experience

• Knowledge of state procurement and fiscal processes.
