Job Description:

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and 3D CAD. The ideal candidate will have experience working with product lifecycle management systems, engineering documentation, validation, and manufacturing processes.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Strong mechanical engineering and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with engineering drawings and drafting standards.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• 2+ years of experience with 3D CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with mechanical product development and manufacturing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify mechanical designs and engineering documentation.
• Apply ASME Y14 series drafting standards to engineering drawings and documentation.
• Support Design for Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in product validation and testing activities.
• Perform or support simulation and engineering analysis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams.
• Apply knowledge of fabrication methods for sheet metal, plastic, copper, and aluminum components.
• Review designs for manufacturability, quality, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support engineering projects from design through validation and production.
• Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Work with applicable US standards and regulatory requirements for low-voltage distribution equipment.
• Apply knowledge of relevant standards, including UL 857, IEEE C37.23, UL 98, and UL 489.
