Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Application Development Manager to lead engineering delivery across enterprise applications, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient execution.

This role requires strong Agile delivery leadership combined with deep technical solutioning capability, with a focus on modernizing enterprise systems while maintaining delivery velocity.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Engineering Delivery

• Lead Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban) with ownership of sprint planning, execution, and delivery
• Manage backlog prioritization in collaboration with product and business stakeholders
• Drive sprint predictability, velocity improvement, and continuous delivery practices

Technical Solutioning & Architecture (Core)

• Own solution design across applications (architecture, integrations, data flows)
• Define design patterns, coding standards, and engineering best practices
• Evaluate trade-offs between quick delivery and long-term scalability
• Ensure solutions are performant, secure, and maintainable

Legacy + Modern Systems Leadership

• Oversee development across legacy systems and modern application platforms
• Drive modernization initiatives while ensuring business continuity
• Enable seamless integration across enterprise systems and services

Modern Engineering, UI & AI Exposure

• Drive integration of modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, or equivalent) with .NET backends
• Implement API-first and microservices-based architectures
• Leverage AI/automation where relevant (workflow optimization, rule engines, AI-assisted development)
• Enable development of user-centric, self-service applications with strong UX focus
• Promote adoption of cloud-native patterns (Azure preferred) and DevOps practices

Engineering Excellence

• Ensure high code quality, performance, and system reliability
• Drive automation, reusable components, and engineering efficiency
• Oversee Dev, QA, UAT, and Production readiness

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Provide technical clarity in stakeholder discussions when required

Required Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in software development and delivery
• Strong experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Proven expertise in technical solutioning, architecture, and system design
• Strong background in .NET, SQL, API development, and enterprise applications
• Experience working across legacy systems and modern application architectures

Estimated Pay Range:

Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
