Senior Application Architect Modern Web Technologies Contract Length: 6-12+ months
Location: Dallas, Texas (hybrid 3 days onsite) ****LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY****
We are seeking an experienced Modern Web Application Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise web applications. This role will translate business and technical needs into scalable, secure, and resilient application architectures while guiding engineering teams through technology decisions, application modernization, and implementation.
The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of modern web technologies with broad architectural expertise across APIs, integrations, cloud-native platforms, application security, and reliability. Experience with React, Next.js, Angular, Node.js, and TypeScript is highly valuable, with hands-on architecture experience in Red Hat OpenShift strongly preferred.
Requirements- Significant experience in application, solution, or technical architecture for enterprise applications
- Strong knowledge of modern web technologies, including React, Next.js, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Experience with REST APIs, distributed systems, integrations, and microservices
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized platforms
- Understanding of application security, identity management, authentication, authorization, and CI/CD
- Experience designing for scalability, performance, availability, resiliency, and observability
- Ability to develop architecture designs, evaluate technical options, and communicate decisions across teams
- Red Hat OpenShift architecture and deployment experience
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud experience
- Knowledge of API gateways, Kafka, event-driven architecture, and enterprise identity platforms
- Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring, distributed tracing, and service mesh
- Experience modernizing legacy applications in complex or regulated environments
Duties- Lead application architecture and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Define application components, APIs, integrations, data flows, and deployment designs
- Establish architecture standards and design patterns for modern web applications
- Guide front-end, server-side, and modular application design decisions
- Develop API and integration strategies that address security, performance, and resiliency
- Guide containerized application deployment, configuration, scaling, and runtime design
- Incorporate security, availability, disaster recovery, and observability into application architecture
- Lead architecture reviews, document decisions, and communicate risks and trade-offs
- Collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, DevSecOps, and integration teams
- Identify modernization opportunities and promote reusable, maintainable architecture patterns
