Job Title: Senior Network Test Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing strategies for enterprise network infrastructure, network services, and connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in network testing, troubleshooting, automation, and performance validation across LAN/WAN, routing, switching, security, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute network test plans, test cases, and test scripts for network infrastructure and services.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, scalability, and reliability testing.
• Validate routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, and TCP/IP.
• Test network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless infrastructure.
• Perform end-to-end testing of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and network security solutions.
• • Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot issues using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, ping, traceroute, and network monitoring platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automated network test scripts using Python, Ansible, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Validate network performance, latency, throughput, packet loss, availability, and failover behavior.
  • Execute testing for network upgrades, migrations, new deployments, and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Application teams to identify and resolve defects.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of network issues and document defects with appropriate evidence.
  • Support UAT, production validation, release testing, and post-deployment verification.
  • Maintain test documentation, execution reports, defect tracking, and testing metrics.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide testing status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

  Must-Have Skills

  • Network Testing / Network QA
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing and switching
  • BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP
  • Hands-on experience with Wireshark and network troubleshooting
  • Python / Network Automation
  • Experience testing routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network services
  • Test planning, test case development, defect management, and regression testing
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

  • SD-WAN / SDN
