Location: Local to Austin, TX ONLY, 2 days remote with 3 days (Wed, Thurs & Fri) Onsite
Job Description:
I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Client requires the services of 1 Systems Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Systems Analyst 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Client.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Client and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Client will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
Informatica ETL/Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions. Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ETL workflows, data ingestion from diverse source systems, and production support.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Informatica Power center, source-to-target mapping, data quality management, performance optimization, and batch job scheduling in large enterprise environments.
Strong analytical and communication skills with experience working in structured SDLC environments, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data engineering solutions.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Experience as a Data Engineer/Systems Analyst designing, developing, and supporting data integration solutions in an enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, including mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations
- Experience ingesting data from multiple heterogeneous source systems (flat files, APIs, relational databases, mainframe extracts, etc.) into Oracle databases
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, including stored procedures, packages, and performance tuning of ETL-related queries
- Experience with Snowflake, including data loading, schema design, and query performance optimization
- Experience with Informatica Power center / Informatica Cloud Data Integration for cloud-based ETL/ELT development
- Experience gathering data requirements, performing source-to-target mapping, and documenting data flow/design specifications
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving data quality issues, job failures, and performance bottlenecks in production ETL pipelines
- Experience with job scheduling/orchestration tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, or Informatica scheduler) supporting batch data loads
- Experience with SAP Business Objects Universe design and/or maintenance 11
- Experience working in a state government or large enterprise IT environment, following formal SDLC and change management processes
III. TERMS OF SERVICE
Services are expected to start 10/20/2026 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2027. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 2008 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
IV. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Client. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
The primary work location(s) will be at . The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidate's and/or Vendor's expense. Client will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts.
The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through Client.
