Python Automation / Copilot Studio Developer (ERP Environment)
Location: Los Angeles area CA preferred (Remote acceptable with occasional travel to LA; travel expenses covered)
Duration: 6 months +
A direct client is seeking a technically strong Python-focused developer to support automation and workflow optimization initiatives within their enterprise environment. This consultant will work across Microsoft Copilot Studio, Dataverse, and Python-based scripting to streamline operational processes, particularly around ticketing and alerting workflows tied to their ERP ecosystem.
A key initiative for this engagement is modernizing their support notification framework, transitioning away from traditional email alerts and toward Microsoft Teams based ticket updates and collaboration workflows.
Day to Day:
Develop and maintain Python scripts to support automation and operational workflows.
Build and configure solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Dataverse.
Integrate and automate processes tied to the Freshservice ticketing platform.
Support the transition of system notifications and alerts from email-based communication to Microsoft Teams updates.
Work within the client s ERP environment, supporting integrations and automation around ERP-driven workflows.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and take technical guidance from senior stakeholders.
Must haves:
Strong Python scripting and automation experience.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Dataverse.
Familiarity with Freshservice or similar ticketing platforms.
Experience supporting or integrating with ERP systems.
Comfortable working in modern development environments such as Cursor (preferred) or Claude coding tools.
Ability to work collaboratively and take direction within an established team structure.
Pluses:
Experience building workflow automation tied to service management or ticketing platforms.
Exposure to Teams-based notification or integration workflows.
Background working in enterprise environments with ERP-related automation.
