Summary

Job Description

Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Engineer Lead -someone who can both architect within guardrails and execute in code. You are responsible for the technical roadmap of our digital ecosystem, ensuring that our Salesforce integrations, frontend architecture, and deployment pipelines are world-class. You establish the standards for TDD (Test-Driven Development), automation, and AI adoption.

You'll play a critical role in advancing ADT's Sales and Service Platform, leading technical solution design and guiding a cross-functional engineering pod across platforms like Salesforce CRM, CPQ, Billing, MuleSoft, and modern CMS tools.

This is NOT a pure oversight role-you are expected to actively code, design, and elevate engineering quality standards, leveraging AI to accelerate development and testing.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership & Solution Design
  • Own end-to-end technical solution design following architecture hand-offs across:
    • Salesforce CRM (Sales, Service)
    • CPQ
    • Customer facing web-applications
    • MuleSoft APIs
    • Other integrations
  • Translate business and product requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
  • Drive integration patterns across platforms

Hands-On Development
  • Actively contribute to development across:
    • Salesforce CRM (Sales, Service)
    • CPQ / RCA
    • MuleSoft APIs
  • Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. Cursor) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality

Pod-Level Technical Leadership
  • Serve as the technical leader within a pod of engineers
  • Guide design decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices
  • Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team

Quality Ownership (Test-Driven Development Model)
  • Champion a culture where engineers own quality end-to-end
  • Ensure all code includes:
    • Automated unit tests
    • Integration tests where applicable
  • Leverage AI for test generation, validation, and coverage improvements

Performance, Analytics & Optimization

What You Bring

Core Technical Skills
  • 7 years of Object-Oriented software development experience, including Solution Design
  • Strong experience designing and implementing CRM and other Sales/Service enterprise tools such Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud
  • Understanding of CPQ, preferable Salesforce SteelBrick, CPQ, or RCA.
  • Experience designing and implementing React (or similar modern frameworks like Angular or Vue) and modern CSS/HTML fundamentals.
  • Experience designing for and deploying to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Enterprise Backend Foundation: Hands-on experience in Object Oriented languages like Apex (Salesforce), Java, .NET or similar - with a strong grasp of design patterns, multithreading, and system architecture.

Preferred Experience
  • Extensive Design and Development experience with Salesforce CRM and CPQ/RCA, including Billing integration.
  • Development experience with Mulesoft.
  • Strong experience with deployment tools and CI/CD automation process, preferably Copado or Harness.

Leadership & Mindset
  • Proven ability to lead technical design within a pod structure
  • Strong communicator who can bridge architecture, product, and engineering
  • Deep sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes-not just output

AI-Enabled Engineering
  • Experience or strong interest in using AI tools for:
    • Code generation and refactoring
    • Test automation
    • Developer productivity optimization

How We Work
  • Pod-based model with high ownership and autonomy
  • Engineers are responsible for both building and validating their work
  • Emphasis on speed + quality through AI augmentation
  • Collaborative environment across Product, Engineering, and Marketing

Why Join ADT?
  • Opportunity to shape a modern, AI-enabled engineering culture
  • Work across a cutting-edge commerce and martech stack
  • High visibility role with real impact on customer experience and revenue
