A Senior IT Project Manager makes an impact as a seasoned, professional individual contributor, ready to manage projects, work independently, help teammates thrive and collaborate with stakeholders across the company.
Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed successfully, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while managing risks, stakeholders, and resources effectively. The candidate must be familiar with Planview tool and have knowledgable in AGILE and Waterfall methodologies.
Key responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines the project scope, objectives, timelines, budget, and resources required to complete the project successfully.
2. Project Execution: Manage the project team and ensure that all project activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
3. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that the project stays on track and within budget.
4. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, core team members, extended project team to ensure that project goals are met.
5. Communication: Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, and team members.
6. Resource Management: Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure that they are used effectively and efficiently.
7. Quality Management: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and that project processes are followed consistently.
8. Change Management: Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring that they are properly documented and approved.
9. Project Closure: Ensure that all project deliverables are completed, and that the project is closed out in a timely and efficient manner.
What you need to have:
• 5-10 years of Project Management experience
• Experience managing Finance system projects
• Minimum experience with 5 full Project Life Cycles (preferably with MNCs)
• Experience with both Waterfall and AGILE methodologies
• Expertise in using Project Planning Management tool
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to clearly and concisely convey information to stakeholders of all levels
• Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals
• Good time management skills to be able to manage your own time and time of team members to ensure project deadlines are met
• Problem solving skills to be able to effectively identify and solve problems that arise during the project, including to think creatively, identify potential solutions and make informed decisions
• Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment, working independently with proactive approach to tasks
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Oracle or SAP ERP Systems experience
- 5 – 10 years of Project Management experience
- Global experience (LATAM, EMEA, NA)
- 5 Full project management lifecycles
- Financial Systems background (Oracle EBS or SAP)
- Agile experience
- C-level engagement experience

Onsite & Interview Expectations
- First-round interviews will be conducted in person, particularly for New York-based candidates.
- Candidates must be willing and able to work from the New York office a minimum of 3 days per week, with Wednesday serving as the anchor day.

Experience & Leadership
- Able to operate independently, adapt quickly, and ramp up with minimal guidance.

Technical & Domain Requirements
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Development, SIT, UAT, and Production deployment.
- Experience across multiple end-to-end SDLC implementations (5+ full lifecycle projects preferred).
- Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for development and testing tracking is strongly preferred.
- Oracle EBS and/or SAP financial systems experience is required.
- Comfortable working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and present project status updates, executive reports, and Steering Committee-ready materials.
- Manage project plans, schedules, resources, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Maintain RAID logs and drive issue resolution.
- Lead UAT planning, execution, and test tracking through ADO.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including onshore and offshore resources.
- Comfortable supporting occasional evening meetings to collaborate with global teams.
Background
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- History of longer-term engagements is preferred.
Profiles to Avoid
- Highly technical profiles lacking stakeholder-facing or executive communication experience.
