Position Summary:

Arlo is an award-winning, market leader in the smart home IoT category that is focused on bringing together deep expertise in product design, wireless connectivity and RF engineering, cloud infrastructure and leading-edge AI capabilities to create a seamless smart home experience for Arlo users that's easy to setup and a joy to interact with every day.

As a Product Engineer Intern, you will be fully integrated into day-to-day operations focused on the design and testing of the next generation of Internet-connected cameras and connected home products. You'll be working with our entire team of experienced engineers to ensure that we are delivering the best possible product to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work within the project management group to understand product requirements, develop and execute test plans, and report on test results
  • Track, assemble, test, and help with product development and other internal product design and test efforts
  • Setup, debug, test, and ship prototypes for the entire engineering team

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies:

Seeking a degree (or in-process) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a similar field of study, or experience in one or more of the following:
  • Familiar with embedded systems, connected internet products, and/or iOS and Android apps
  • Familiar with networking protocols and embedded Linux environments
  • Familiar with basic hardware test equipment and hardware design and troubleshooting
  • Basic IT support, networking, or software development experience is helpful

Required Education:
  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of higher level college education (Bachelor's in progress), or equivalent experience, in the above areas.

The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between USD $20 - $30/hour. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience.
