Title: Junior Network Technician / Data Center TechnicianOverviewWe are seeking a motivated Junior Network Technician / Data Center Technician to support day-to-day operations within a high-performance data center environment. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates with foundational knowledge of hardware, cabling, and networking who are eager to grow in a hands-on technical setting.
Key Responsibilities- Install, rack, and cable servers, network devices, and related infrastructure
- Perform basic hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and component replacements
- Run, label, route, and dress copper and fiber cabling according to standards
- Execute server startups, shutdowns, and equipment decommissioning tasks
- Perform post-installation quality checks (labeling, grounding, and cabling accuracy)
- Assist with inventory tracking, asset audits, and documentation updates
- Support ticket-based work and escalate issues to senior technicians when needed
- Follow standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and deployment guidelines
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or GED (Associate's degree or technical training preferred)
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware (servers, switches, storage components)
- Exposure to structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber optics)
- Ability to follow documented procedures and checklists in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in elevated spaces
Preferred Skills- Hands-on experience with rack & stack, cabling, or IT support
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows environments
- Experience using ticketing systems or inventory tools
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, switches, basic connectivity)
Work Environment- 100% onsite in a data center environment
- May require shift work (days/nights/weekends)
- Fast-paced, safety-focused, and team-oriented setting

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
