Sr Wireless Engineer

No C2C or 3rd Party Candidates; must work W2

Role: Sr. Wireless Engineer

Location: Las Vegas, NV (Local candidates preferred)

Duration: 3-month, contract to hire. Could extend. Could be converted.

Target Start Date: May 1^st

Pay Rate: 60-65 per hour W2

Job Details:

• The role will focus on taking ownership of key wireless initiatives, including migrating access points from the current MSP to our client's management and supporting the ongoing wireless core project.


• The engineer will manage and optimize the client's Cisco wireless environment, including Catalyst Center administration, RF optimization, and wireless site surveys, while also helping train and mentor junior engineers on the team. The role requires someone comfortable working independently while also collaborating with engineering teams and interacting with executive stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• 5-7 years managing Cisco wireless environments (9800 controllers)


• 5-7 years routing & switching experience


• Strong experience with Catalyst Center, RF design, and wireless site surveys


• BGP routing knowledge


• Certifications such as CCNP or CCNA preferred


• Experience with Cisco or Palo Alto firewalls is a plus

Team & Environment

• Engineering team includes 6 senior route/switch engineers


• This role will be the primary wireless specialist


• Level 3-4 wireless support, with Level 1-2 handled by our client's MSP


• Collaborative environment with younger engineers to mentor
