Business Systems Analyst IV

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a remote experienced Technical Business Systems Analyst IV to support enterprise Data Engineering initiatives. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications that support data integration, reporting, analytics, and governance efforts. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with a solid understanding of modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and system integrations.

Responsibilities:
* Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements
* Translate business needs into detailed specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
* Develop and maintain process flows, data flow diagrams, workflow models, and current/future state analyses
* Document business rules governing data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting processes
* Serve as the liaison between business users, developers, architects, and quality assurance teams throughout the project lifecycle
* Facilitate requirements discussions, workshops, and stakeholder reviews
* Support system integration initiatives by documenting data movement, dependencies, and interface requirements
* Assist with test planning, test case reviews, defect triage, and user acceptance testing activities
* Create and maintain traceability matrices and project documentation to ensure requirements are validated and delivered
* Document data lifecycle processes and data packaging methodologies to support governance and operational standards
* Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
* 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst supporting technology initiatives
* Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements for enterprise applications and data solutions
* Experience supporting system integration projects and cross-functional technology teams
* Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid development environments
* Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL, data warehousing, data governance, and data integration
* Proficiency with process modeling and diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to create detailed documentation, including user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with Azure cloud technologies and data platforms
* Experience with GitHub and collaborative development practices
* Experience documenting end-to-end data lifecycle processes and governance standards
* Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, Azure Database for MySQL, and Azure Cosmos DB
* Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance standards, including HIPAA and GDPR
* Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage, Blob Storage, and cloud-based data architectures
* Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-powered productivity tools
* Exposure to AWS and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments
* Understanding of data ingestion pipelines, data transformation frameworks, and metadata management

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
