Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help design, develop, and enhance the next generation of our software platform. This position will take ownership of significant development initiatives while collaborating closely with engineering, architecture, product, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can operate independently, contribute effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment, and consistently deliver reliable, maintainable software. This individual will also serve as a technical resource for other engineers through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and code reviews, while helping identify opportunities to improve development practices and team processes.

What You'll Do

• Translate business and technical requirements into practical software solutions and participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business partners, developers, architects, and other stakeholders to establish technical requirements and determine appropriate implementation strategies.
• Analyze proposed architectures and development approaches, considering technical feasibility, project constraints, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Take ownership of assigned development initiatives and deliver work accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
• Partner with Software Architects to develop and refine technical designs and implementation plans.
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain application code that meets defined functional and technical specifications.
• Review code and provide technical guidance, support, and mentoring to other members of the development team.
• Participate in establishing and improving coding practices, development standards, and software engineering processes.
• Contribute ideas that improve the quality, efficiency, stability, and maintainability of existing applications and product lines.
• Work collaboratively with members of the Scrum team as well as stakeholders and technical partners outside the immediate development team.
• Proactively identify technical, process, or product issues that could affect team productivity, application stability, or project delivery.
• Communicate project status, technical concerns, and potential impediments in a timely manner.
• Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Software Engineering experience.
• Strong development experience with C# and .NET.
• Professional experience working with Microsoft SQL Server / Microsoft SQL.
• Experience developing applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, including Angular.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) strategies and techniques within database or software environments.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong understanding of software development practices, application architecture, and maintainable coding principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver quality work within strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving development environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
