Job Description:
The Node.js Lead will provide technical leadership for application modernization initiatives within the 7-Eleven Logistics portfolio. The position is based at the 7-Eleven client office in Irving, Texas, and requires the resource to work from the client location at least four days per week. Remote or hybrid working is not available for this requirement.
The resource must have strong hands-on experience in Node.js and should be capable of designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting scalable backend applications. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that the solutions meet agreed standards for application performance, security, reliability, maintainability, and scalability. The role requires strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, backend APIs, asynchronous processing, application integration, debugging, and production-grade development practices.
Key Responsibilities
The Node.js Lead will drive technical design decisions, review code, establish development standards, and provide day-to-day technical guidance to the engineering team. The resource will work closely with client stakeholders, product teams, architects, developers, QA teams, and other cross-functional participants to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. The person will also support technical planning, effort estimation, issue resolution, risk identification, and delivery tracking.
The candidate must successfully complete an Infosys internal evaluation followed by an evaluation with the client GSC team. The position requires a hands-on leader who can own technical outcomes while supporting the wider engineering team. Top 3 responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute
Lead the design and development of scalable Node.js backend applications
Own technical decisions, code quality, security, performance, and reliability.
Mentor developers and collaborate with business, architecture, engineering, QA, and client teams.
