Job Title: Senior Collibra Technical SME ( Data Governance /Alation)
Location: Tampa, NJ, Dallas, TX (Onsite/Hybrid As per client)
Require highly skilled Senior Collibra Technical SME with deep expertise in Data Governance and Metadata Management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in design, development, and architecture within the Collibra platform, along with strong technical and functional knowledge to drive enterprise-level data governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement the enterprise data governance strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned to business objectives.
Define governance KPIs, maturity metrics, and success measures.
Drive adoption through change management, communications, and training.
Lead endtoend Collibra implementation: platform setup, environment planning (Dev/Test/Prod), domain modeling, and taxonomy design.
Customize asset models for real estate use cases.
Configure and manage Business Glossary, Data Dictionary, Data Catalog, and Reference Data & Code Sets.
Design and implement Collibra workflows for glossary lifecycle, owner/steward assignment, issue management, and escalation.
Implement Collibra operating model with defined roles (Data Owner, Data Steward, Custodian, Consumer) and RACI mappings.
Integrate Collibra with data warehouses/lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure), BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), and ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, dbt, ADF).
Lead metadata ingestion across technical, operational, and business metadata.
Design and implement Collibra Operating Model aligned with organizational structure.
Enhance and customize Collibra Metamodel to meet business requirements.
Build and maintain Business Glossary and Data Dictionary within Collibra.
Develop and optimize Collibra workflows using Groovy scripting.
Design and implement Collibra integrations leveraging REST APIs and automation.
Connect Collibra to various data sources and ensure seamless metadata ingestion.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements for metadata use cases.
Analyze issues, troubleshoot, and provide effective solutions.
Architect integrations between Collibra and other tools (e.g., Alation, Data Quality tools).
Ensure compliance with data governance standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications :-
Collibra Expertise: Hands-on experience in Collibra design, development, and architecture (not just end-user experience).
Strong knowledge of Data Governance and Metadata concepts.
Proficiency in Collibra workflows development and Groovy scripting.
Experience in Collibra REST API usage for automation and integrations.
Ability to articulate use cases and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
Basic understanding of Database, Data Warehouse, and SQL concepts.
Collibra Ranger Certification (preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly Desirable:
Experience with Alation or similar data catalog tools.
Knowledge of designing integrations with other data quality and governance tools.
