Location: Detroit, MI (Romulus, MI) - Onsite, 5 days per week
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior/Mid-Level Systems Administrator (Systems Administrator I / Systems Engineer) to support our onsite enterprise infrastructure environment. This role involves installing, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting compute, storage, virtualization, and Microsoft-based systems within a 247365 operation. The ideal candidate will support both project-based initiatives and daily operations while adhering to established processes and best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, manage, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions.
  • Support system architecture across compute, storage, virtualization, and desktop environments.
  • Provide on-call/after-hours support as needed in a 247365 environment.
  • Assist with the implementation of technology projects aligned with departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
  • Generate performance and capacity reports and assist with planning.
  • Establish and conduct preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and contractors.
  • Participate in data center operations, including hardware installations (rack-and-stack).
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
    OR
  • High School Diploma plus 2+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience
