Position: AutoCAD Drafter
This position will be based at our Fort Worth, TX location and work is to be performed onsite. The candidate will be responsible for duties which include, but are not limited to:
The AutoCAD Drafter will develop technical drawings of products using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD. After making a draft, you will submit it for approval and make any necessary revisions. You will also prepare supporting documentation that includes product materials and dimensions before distributing the information to the appropriate Application Engineer or Department Head and updating our internal database.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop technical drawings using CAD software
- Make revisions and obtain approval from the Application Engineer and/or customer
- Maintain a database of drawings
- Prepare supporting documentation that includes bill of materials, product materials, and dimensions
- Distribute drawings to internal departments and external customers
- Consistently works in accordance with applicable safety guidelines and requirements
- Regular and reliable attendance
Experience and Qualifications
- Technical degree in drafting or equivalent job experience
- Experience with AutoCAD software
- Have a keen understanding of P & ID (piping and instrumentation) diagrams
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematic reading, component layout, wiring methods
- Experience with laser cutting CNC and 3D printing
- Deadline-oriented mindset
- Attention to detail
- Experience working with multiple teams and product designs
- Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, including MVR, and drug and alcohol testing
Hours
M-F 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (may be subject to change with the needs of the business)
